The newly introduced Eeva from Brivo is an AI Video Agent designed to help business owners keep an eye on what matters most—whether that’s retail crime, workplace safety, illegal dumping, or any other operational concern.  Eeva, a core extension of the Brivo Eagle Eye VMS (video management system), empowers business owners to deploy AI to watch all their cameras all the time, using nothing more than common sense natural language prompts.

Users simply describe the activity they want to detect—such as “Identify when a worker is not wearing a safety vest”—and Eeva instantly begins monitoring for this event and sending notifications. Automated actions can be added.

“Eeva is like an ideal employee working 24/7 all year round—someone who’s reliable, diligent, takes action independently and is always on the job,” said Dean Drako, CEO of Brivo. “Eeva delivers sophisticated AI that is simple to use and camera agnostic, enabling business owners to solve critical security and business challenges using their existing cameras.”

Some of the key benefits of Eeva include:

  • Ease of use: Users can describe what AI should detect using natural language—no coding or AI expertise is needed
  • Rapid deployment: AI is built in minutes and can be deployed across thousands of cameras instantly
  • High accuracy: Enterprise-grade VLM-powered AI can distinguish context and understand spatial relationships
  • Proactive response: Native integration to Brivo Security Suite enables real-time notifications and automated actions
  • Camera agnostic: Works with the Brivo Eagle Eye VMS; no specialty cameras or additional hardware required.

Industrial applications for using Eeva include, for example, property management, for identifying illegal dumping to reduce fines, clean-up fees, and environmental damage;  manufacturing to detect employees without safety vests to ensure protocol adherence, worker safety, and regulatory compliance;  use within restaurants to verify employees are wearing protective gloves and ensure optimal food preparation processes to improve profits and customer satisfaction; and, for gas and EV charging stations, where it can be used to detect charging cable (copper) theft and illegal activity at fuel pumping stations to reduce property loss, liability, and reputational damage.

Real world examples

For example in the UK, an EV charging station is using Eeva to help stem copper theft. Lee Kerry, Head of Technical Services for Kings Secure Technologies (KST), a full-service security integration firm based in West Yorkshire, UK, used Eeva to create and deploy AI to combat cable theft at EV charging stations.

“Eeva’s AI can distinguish when a person or vehicle is present at the EV station from when a person is attempting to remove the cable from the protected zone. This is far more sophisticated, reliable, and easier to manage than traditional analytics,” Kerry said. “The result is very significant cost savings for EV station owners, who have had to replace stolen or damaged cables, lost revenue due to downtime, and suffer reputational damage when charging bays are out of order. Eeva is a quantum leap over legacy analytics.”

In Norway, a residential complex is helping curtail illegal dumping and improve the environment with Eeva.  Enter Security, a leading security technology provider based in Lørenskog, Norway, used Eeva to curtail illegal dumping at Lørenskog Hageby, a residential building complex. "Eeva successfully identifies instances where trash is dumped outside of the bins while correctly filtering out people who approach the trash bins and properly dispose of their waste. Furthermore, Eeva correctly distinguishes various types of disposable trash from existing environmental features like rocks or landscaping,” said Edward-Oliver Olafsen, Chief Operations Officer of Enter Security. “Setting up and deploying Eeva was intuitive and trouble-free, and the AI is working extremely well. For property owners, avoiding the significant costs associated with cleanup and potential fines is a major benefit, while residents appreciate the improved environment and swift resolution of what was a persistent neighbourhood nuisance."
