NAV adds Oncam IP and 360 degree analogue cameras to range
Brick, NJ
Oncam Global’s cameras are designed with several unique features that are essential for 360° persistent situational awareness, including on-board camera generation of multiple, independent perspective-corrected virtual camera views (up to four), each of which can be controlled manually or by using the in-camera video analytics. The cameras also feature support for electronic pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) functionality throughout the entire 360° field of view during live viewing or playback.
Complete scenes can be viewed in panoramic or multi-view screen mode. The latter is supported by the camera and may be composited at the client end in either the NVR or on a PC running a standard Web browser. All Oncam 360° cameras generate ultra-high-resolution images that are captured using high-performance fisheye lenses.
The IP 360° camera series is available in surface-mount, conceal-mounting and minidome designs. The analogue 360° camera can be paired with the Oncam Halocorder for high-resolution 360° analogue recording. All models are ideal for gaming, retail, warehousing and military applications, among others. They are capable of generating intrusion alerts upon motion detection and other alarm events, and of notifying call centers, owners and other nominated parties via email and/or ftp, complete with images of the event.
According to Mr. Jackson, Oncam Global, through its Grandeye technology arm, is richly populated with intellectual property, including several patents related to 360° image capture. “Their leadership position in moving 360° situational awareness surveillance to mainstream applications is what first attracted us,” he said. “These next-generation cameras definitely warrant the phrase ‘paradigm-shifting’ technology.”
