National Guardian Acquires Professional Security Monitoring

NORWALK, Conn (USA)

National Guardian Security Services, Inc. , a leading provider of electronic security services to multi-location businesses throughout the United States and Canada, has acquired Professional Security Monitoring (PSM) based in New York. In addition to expanding National Guardian´s presence in the Northeast, the acquisition establishes a secondary, UL listed, central monitoring facility for the Company.

Founded in 1996 Professional Security Monitoring was a wholly owned division of Professional Security Technologies LLC, a provider of integrated security systems. PSM's founder, Michael Gallipoli, will continue to lead the company and will join National Guardian as Director of Operations.
The acquisition adds roughly 13,000 monitored accounts and provides a number of strategic benefits for National Guardian. In addition to synergies with subcontracting, equipment sales, potential acquisitions, and technical support, the New York operation provides full redundancy with National Guardian's Richardson, Texas, UL listed and FM approved central station.
"We look forward to increasing our presence in the wholesale monitoring business as a result of this acquisition," says George Flagg, President of National Guardian. "In addition, the new dealer relationships provide increased support for our primary business, which is electronic security for commercial, multi-location, regional and national accounts. We are excited to welcome the PSM dealers, acquired clients, and employees to National Guardian."
