Congresswoman visits Smiths Detection

Danbury, Ct

Smiths Detection welcomed U.S. Representative Elizabeth Esty (D-CT) earlier this month to its Danbury, Connecticut facility which designs, develops and manufactures a wide range of products to support and protect the U.S. military, first responders and homeland security operations.
Congresswoman Esty toured the facility and addressed the 130-plus employees about how continued growth in the fields of technology and innovation is critical to both the Connecticut and U.S. economies. She also took the opportunity to thank the business for its efforts in keeping military and emergency responders safe while strengthening national security. Paul Delvisco, Danbury Site Head, Smiths Detection said: “We appreciate Congresswoman Esty visiting our facility and seeing first-hand how our employees contribute to both the security of our country and our local economy. Smiths Detection has consistently invested in facilities like Danbury to offer innovative security and safety solutions, training and service. These help protect our fellow citizens and support the continued free flow of trade so critical to economic growth.”
