"In the evolving world of IP-based video surveillance and security products, industry standards are a cornerstone on which new technology will be built," said Mulli Diamant, VP of Sales, OnSSI. "OnSSI has taken a leading role in expanding interoperability solutions by integrating to a wide range of physical security and camera devices, and by ensuring that these solutions adhere to and support recognized industry standards."
Now available for download for all OnSSI VMS and PSIM solutions, Camera Pack v4.6 supports the following additional devices: Axis P1344 and Axis P1345; DVTel DVT-7612-e; IQEYE IQ-732; VideoIQ VIQ-E Series; and Weldex WDNC-64072C as well as additional cameras from Dynacolor, Honeywell, Panasonic, SANYO and Vivotek. The new software also provides H.264 support for Arecont AV185 and AV8365 cameras as well as support for ONVIF and PSIA compatible devices.
ONVIF is an open industry forum for the development of a global standard for the interface of network video products. The ONVIF specification will ensure interoperability between network video products, regardless of manufacturer, by defining a common protocol for the exchange of information between network video devices including automatic device discovery, video streaming and intelligence metadata.
PSIA is a global consortium of manufacturers and systems integrators focused on promoting interoperability of IP-enabled security devices across all segments of the security industry. PSIA promotes and develops open standards relevant to networked physical security technology across all segments including video, access control, analytics and software.
