Intersec Middle-East attracts major government bodies

For 2008, Intersec Middle East will have hundreds of worldwide and MENA region product launches. Over 800 exhibitors will present more than 2,000 brands, and a record number of 15 country pavilions will be participating at this year's exhibition.
Intersec Middle East, due to open from the 13th - 15th January 2008, is the region's largest industry gathering of professionals in the homeland security & policing, commercial security, fire & rescue, and safety & health sectors. It offers a prime opportunity for all those involved to network, debate, and discuss issues affecting these industries; and to discover the latest products, services and technologies in the market.
Running concurrently with the exhibition will be dedicated conference sessions where 40 distinguished speakers from the likes of - Brigadier Thani Al Matrooshi, Ray Hurst, Dr Chris Doyle, Mark Warrington, and Wayne Harris - are to present 35 stimulating conference sessions on - disaster control, cybercrime, construction safety, accident prevention, threat management and more.
Attendees will be able to gain insight on the initiatives undertaken by key industry leaders; the advancement of the safety and security in the region has becoming increasingly important in law enforcement, responding to potential disasters, and minimizing threats.
Some of the topical issues addressed, will be - "Making for a Safer Society - the Global Overview", "Emergency Services Response and the Management of Disasters", "Planning and Preparing for Major Incidents Involving The Transport Sector", "Safety and Health Topics Affecting the Middle East", "Building and Construction Site Safety", and "Cybercrime - a national risk and how to tackle it".
Intersec Middle East in 2008 will host a series of live outdoor demonstrations from Dubai civil defence, leading exhibitors, and Dubai police. Visitors to the exhibition will get an insight into current 'policing' techniques and best practices employed in case of emergencies, as well as the opportunity to see the latest techniques in action.
A team from Dubai civil defence will stage the latest rescue and emergency response techniques. In the Intersec outdoor demonstration Area, the live demonstrations will reinforce the stringent mandatory policies for fire safety procedures that have been implemented throughout the Middle East by the government. It is a great opportunity for spectators to see the initiatives undertaken by the Dubai civil defence, in action.
Intersec Middle East is the biggest trade show and conference of its kind in the region, and has been providing an information and buying platform for governments, civil defence forces, the construction industry, industrial development, commercial businesses, ports, airports and security professionals for ten years now.
Throughout the past year, many security and safety issues have been raised in the Middle East, and the focus is firmly on the enforcement of laws, and safeguarding of the construction, infrastructure and development industry.
