Vivotek demonstrates Smarter Ways at APS

Taipei, Taiwan

Vivotek will be showcasing a wide range of new products and solutions at Salon APS 2017, due to take place from September 26 to 28 at Porte de Versailles in Paris, France. On the company's stand at the show, Vivotek will unveil its latest strategy to "See More in Smarter Ways", combining fully smart IP surveillance solutions to target retail, city, and industrial markets.

For smarter ways to operate in retailing, Vivotek introduces a complete solution to its end users with the latest 12-megapixel fisheye camera, FE9191, featuring the Immervision 360° panomorph lens technology. This breakthrough in lens technology allows it to provide unparalleled peripheral visibility for optimal 360 degree image quality. Moreover, with built-in smart technology including crowd detection, it expands the horizons of intelligent surveillance solutions.

To optimise the retail operation, Vivotek is also introducing people counting solutions. The stereo camera SC8131 employs 3D depth technology, which is capable of achieving up to 98% accuracy rates. Also on display will be a total Wifi solution with the latest 2 megapxiel Wifi cameras IP8160-W and IB8360-W, as well as the specifically designed Wifi network video recorder (NVR) ND8212W, offering smarter options for retail users of any scale.

Recognising the growing need for city surveillance to ensure public safety as well as overall efficiency, Vivotek will present an effective solution for urban surveillance. The brand-new H.265 flagship model, the 2 megapixel bullet network camera IB9365-HT will also make its debut during the event. This model is equipped with the new generation of video compression technology, Smart Stream III, making it an H.265 solution to minimize bandwidth usage. Also planned to be on display is the SD9364-EH, a professional H.265 IR speed dome camera, equipped with vari-angle IR technology, featuring 250 metre IR illuminators to maintain effective image quality and illumination in the most challenging environments.

Vivotek will also be demonstrating the outdoor ready Vivocam L2+ PoE switch with IP surveillance management functions, an all-in-one solution equipped with an industrial PoE switch (video shown below). Making the series the perfect choice for any exposed outdoor application, a weather-proof IP67 and vandal–proof IK10-rated housing cabinet, surge protector and power supply ensure full protection against unfavourable climates as well as vandalism.

For industrial surveillance, Vivotek will demonstrate further advances with two multiple sensor network cameras, the built-in IR illuminator capable unit MS8391-EV and MS8392-EV. Both cameras feature four 3 megapixel CMOS sensors with 180-degree panoramic views. Moreover, the cameras are especially equipped with a video alignment feature to provide a seamless picture while maximizing the field of view and reducing the total number of cameras required, ultimately saving on installation costs. The two cameras are armed with a robust IP66 and IK10-rated housing to enable the multi-sensor devices to withstand rain and dust as well as any attempted vandalism or tampering.
